Roof Soft Wash
Black streaks on shingles are algae, not dirt — and they spread if left untreated. Our roof soft wash uses low-pressure application to kill algae and moss without damaging shingles.
Starting at $175

Our process
Assess
We check roof type, pitch, and the pattern of staining before starting — algae typically shows up worst on north-facing slopes and shaded valleys first.
Apply
Soft wash solution is applied to kill algae, moss, and lichen at the root, using low-pressure application rather than a pressure washer.
Dwell
The solution dwells and continues working for a period after application, breaking down growth without needing to scrub or blast the shingles.
Rinse & flush
A light rinse clears remaining residue where needed, and gutters get flushed so loosened debris doesn't sit and cause a clog later.
Frequently asked questions
Will this void my shingle warranty?
Soft washing is the method most shingle manufacturers recommend — high-pressure washing directly on shingles is what typically voids warranties.
How long do results last?
Most roofs stay clean for two to three years after a soft wash treatment, depending on tree cover and shade.
Do you need to walk on my roof?
Minimal walking is required for most roof pitches — we apply from the edge and eaves whenever possible to reduce foot traffic on the shingles.
Is the black streaking actually harmful, or just cosmetic?
It's more than cosmetic — the algae feeds on the limestone filler in shingles over time, which can shorten shingle lifespan if left untreated for years.
